FAQ
Answers to common questions about creating and ordering your custom Jewish calendar.
Where do the zmanim and Shabbat times come from?
The calendar uses Hebcal, an open-source Jewish calendar service, for Hebrew dates, Jewish holidays, zmanim, and Shabbat times. Choose the city closest to where you will use the calendar so candle-lighting, havdalah, and other time-based entries are appropriate for your location.
Hebcal provides an essential service to the Jewish community. Please consider supporting them by making a donation.
Can I choose the Jewish dates and holidays that appear?
Yes. Your calendar combines Hebrew dates, Jewish holidays, and your personal events. You can choose the calendar start month, review the displayed months, and add birthdays, anniversaries, yahrzeits, and other important dates.
Where are the calendars printed?
Printed calendars are produced through our professional print fulfillment partner, using the approved calendar specification and print-ready PDF created by the site. Your order is reviewed before it moves to fulfillment so the printed piece matches the proof you approved.
Will I see a proof before my calendar is printed?
Yes. You can review the generated PDF proof before checkout is completed. Printing requires you to confirm that you reviewed the proof and acknowledge that the personalized calendar is a final-sale product once the order enters fulfillment.
What photo files can I upload?
You can upload JPEG, PNG, or WebP images up to 25 MB each. Use the highest-quality originals you have, and check the preview carefully because cropping and placement affect how each image appears on the printed page.
How long will delivery take?
After proof approval, your order goes through manual fulfillment review and then enters production. Production and shipping times depend on the print partner and destination. Tracking information will be added to your order when it becomes available.
Can I change my calendar after I place an order?
The order stores an immutable snapshot of the approved project and PDF. You can continue working on a separate version of your calendar, but changes made after checkout cannot change the calendar already approved for printing.
Can I make a calendar longer than 12 months?
Yes. You can create a calendar with up to 16 months. Months 1–12 use the standard detailed layout, while months 13–16 are included in a compact format so the calendar remains compatible with its fixed print specification. If you need help choosing the right range, contact us.
How accurate are the candle-lighting and Havdalah times on my calendar?
Your calendar's times come from Hebcal. For almost every location, its sunset calculation is accurate to within about a minute. If your calendar differs from your synagogue's by a minute or two, that's normal. The usual causes are local custom (for example, lighting 18 or 20 minutes before sunset), how Havdalah is calculated, elevation, and rounding. Candle-lighting times are rounded down and Havdalah times are rounded up, to stay on the safe side. You can change the candle-lighting minutes, the Havdalah method, and the elevation option in your calendar settings.
These times are a guide, not a halachic ruling, so check with your rabbi or community. For more detail, see Hebcal's article How accurate are candle-lighting times?
Can I send copies to family in other places, or get a PDF?
Yes. After you've ordered a printed calendar, sign in and open My account → Calendars. Under Ordered calendars, choose Order another copy to send the same calendar to a different address — anywhere we ship. You can also choose Download PDF to get the digital file of your calendar to share or keep.
Can I order several copies of the same calendar?
Yes. You can order up to 10 copies of the same calendar in one order. All copies in an order ship together to one address, so shipping costs less per copy than ordering them separately.
To send calendars to different people, place a separate order for each address. After your first order, you can use Order again in your account to reorder the same calendar without rebuilding it. For more than 10 copies or a large group order, contact us and we'll help.
What countries do you ship to?

Some countries we currently do not ship to include Mexico, India and Argentina.
Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination and are calculated at checkout.
