My Custom Jewish Calendar ("we," "us," or "our") provides tools for creating, saving, and ordering personalized Jewish calendars. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you use our website, calendar builder, account features, and ordering services (collectively, the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your first and last name, email address, password credentials in protected form, and information used to verify and manage your account.
- Calendar content. We collect calendar settings, dates, personal events, text, uploaded family or other photos, project names, and generated calendar PDFs that you choose to save to your account. Calendar content may reveal personal or religious information, so please upload only content that you have the right to use.
- Order and fulfillment information. If you order a printed calendar, we collect order details, billing and shipping contact information, product selections, quantity, fulfillment status, and related customer-service records.
- Payment information. Payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. The payment provider collects payment-card details under its own privacy policy. We receive transaction identifiers, payment status, limited payment-method details, and information needed for accounting, refunds, and fraud prevention; we do not intend to store complete card numbers.
- Technical and usage information. We may collect IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, pages or features used, session and security logs, error information, and cookies or similar technologies needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and operate checkout.
- Location searches. If you search for a city or location to calculate calendar times, we process the search terms and selected location. Location queries may be sent to a third-party Jewish calendar or location service to return results.
You may use portions of the calendar builder without an account. Anonymous projects and photos may remain in your browser's local storage unless you choose to sign in and save them to your account, clear your browser data, or remove them.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the Service; create, save, duplicate, and delete calendar projects; generate private PDFs; authenticate users and protect accounts; calculate Jewish dates and times; process payments and refunds; print, ship, and support orders; communicate about accounts and orders; diagnose errors; prevent abuse and fraud; maintain backups; and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and fulfillment obligations.
How we share information
We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, including with:
- hosting, storage, email, security, and technical service providers;
- payment processors such as Stripe;
- printing, fulfillment, and shipping providers, which may include Prodigi, when needed to produce and deliver an order;
- professional advisers and authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the Service; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Service providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use calendar photos or personal events for targeted advertising.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and related browser storage for sign-in sessions, security, shopping and checkout functions, preferences, and local calendar projects. Blocking these technologies may prevent account, saving, or checkout features from working. If optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, this policy and any required consent choices will be updated before they are used.
Data retention
We retain account and saved-project information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service. Draft projects, uploaded photos, and obsolete generated files may be removed after periods of inactivity. Order, payment, refund, tax, fraud-prevention, and fulfillment records may be retained longer when required for legitimate business or legal purposes. Backups may preserve information for a limited period before routine deletion or overwrite.
Your choices and rights
You may review or update certain account and calendar information, delete calendar projects through available account tools, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. You may also request account closure. Some records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, dispute, refund, fraud-prevention, or fulfillment obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights and the right to appeal a denied request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and private storage for saved photos and PDFs. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts or place orders. Adults who add information or photos concerning children are responsible for having authority to do so. If we learn that we collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International use
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
